The good parts? At least the writing is fluent. And the generated text does cover the bases.

The bad parts? Not all the keywords we fed GPT were incorporated in the listing, leaving out the chance to rank. A human copywriter would have found more features to extol, peppering more keywords into the bullet points to increase the ranking potential. Also, GPT added a Spanish long-tail keyword in the front end, which every Amazon seller knows is a big no-no. Also, the output sounds templated. If you want your listing to stand out in the jungle that’s Amazon search optimization, you’ll want to engage the customer through storytelling. This output is too generic and doesn’t effectively differentiate the product from the sea of purses out there.

  • Overuse of trending hashtags without context.

    • Let’s go back to Amazon for a second. Any pro will tell you that effective bullet points lead with the benefit, not the feature. The features – the facts – may inform, but the benefits push the sale. An AI-generated blog will present tons of facts, but won’t go deep into why these facts matter. To push this metaphor further, AI presents features, but not enough of the benefit.
